Kaleidoscope Data Privacy Consultants was established in 2019 to meet the needs of controllers and processors in countries outside the EU to appoint an EU Data Protection Representative.

An appointed Data Protection Representative is required where the controller or processor is offering goods, services, or profiling EU citizens (article 3(2), GDPR).

Where this condition is met, it engages the duty to appoint a representative (article 27, GDPR).
